This article provides information on our journey from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho. The transportation method we used and found most reliable was Phuong Trang Futa bus Lines. Unfortunately, the bus staff does not speak English.
The route is approximately 170 km and takes approximately 3.5 hours to complete. Buses from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho depart every 30 minutes, making it a convenient option for travelers. The current ticket price is around VND 120,000, which is approximately 5 to 6 US dollars.
Phuong Trang Futa bus Lines also offers a shuttle service within Can Tho for added convenience. To book tickets, travelers can either visit the Phuong Trang Futa Bus Lines website, call using a Vietnamese phone number, or purchase directly at a ticket office.
Please note that buses do not stop at designated stops between the hours of 10 PM and 4 AM. From 5 AM to 10 PM, stops last 10 to 20 minutes. It is recommended to contact the bus staff in case of missed stops.
Additionally, travelers are required to remove their shoes or sandals and cover them with a nylon bag before boarding the bus. Upon arrival, Phuong Trang Futa bus Lines provides slippers for passengers to use. Eating strong smelling foods, such as bread and dumplings, and smoking are not allowed on the bus.
