I was born in a farmer’s family . My parents have grown rice for years even now . Then I grew up and went school . But every day I have to walk the rice felds to come to school . Sometimes I wanted to stop stuidying beacuse the way to go to school was so difficult with all the mud around .
Time flies I went to secondary I got bycicle I was so happy . At highschool I didnt know what to study for university . My dad advived me to study English which was I m not good at .
Then I try to pass the exam to go university .I tried to practise English as much as possible . I remeber I used to come the ferry where the foriegners pass the Mekong river to go Can Tho city to practise English .
This time I stayed with my aunty family and the Can Tho bridge was not build . Then the bridge was build i had to move to Can Tho city to stay and study . I found a job in a resturant where the foriegners come here to have their meals .
Then There was a lady came and ask me to be tour guide for her tourists . I was so happy and say yes imminetly even my English was bad . I still remember the 1st day being tour guide . The tourists was an Australian man . He was so kind . He said my English is good but need more practise and ask my email so he could recommend me to his friends if they want the tour .
He tipped me 1 $ which i keep until now . I wopuld like to say thank you to him . He is 1st guest who ecourge to work in tourism and develop . After finish school I worked in Conversve shoes company . After one year I stop because I want to work as tour guide . I missed floating markets , the boats , farms…
I went back to Can Tho and started as a freelance tour guide . 4 year later . during the many helps and ecouraging from friends, families and especially from guests I started my own business . It was not easy at the begining but I love this job . I want to show people around the world how beautiful where i was born and rised is
